AEROSPACE ENGINEERS NEEDED
New Mexico State University will begin the first New
Mexico college program in aerospace engineering in the
fall semester of 2005. According to a survey for the
college, there are continually 45-70 open positions for
aerospace engineers at New Mexico employers, and out of
state recruiting by employers is necessary.
Among organizations likely to hire these new graduates
are Eclipse Aviation and Sandia National Laboratories in
Albuquerque as well as the possible New Mexico Spaceport
near Las Cruces.
